Pikaia Dining Chair

Made in Italy

Designed by Angelo Natuzzi for Kristalia

The Pikaia is a versatile and stackable chair with a unique, funky style. The polyurethane structure has a particularly flexible ergonomic backrest that is ideal for supporting the back and adapting to the shape and weight of the body, whereas the stiffening ribs at the base give it strength and resistance.

Available in White, Beige and Black

With either a slide frame or with 4 legs

Angelo Natuzzi

Pikaia reflects Angelo Natuzzi’s approach to design through a careful balance of flexibility, strength and ergonomics. Designed for Kristalia in 2007, its polyurethane structure uses a particularly flexible backrest that responds to the shape and weight of the body, while reinforcing ribs at the base provide strength and resistance. Kristalia Born in Santeramo in Colle, Italy, Natuzzi studied at the Matera art school before graduating in Industrial Design from I.S.I.A. in Rome in 2005. His graduation project, the modular Coocoo seat, was a finalist in the Premio Esaedro that same year. Kristalia His work spans furniture design, consultancy and product development, with collaborations including Kristalia, Segis and Bontempi Casa. His approach combines industrial design thinking with an interest in adaptable, functional products for contemporary living.
