Loungescape Bed by Flexform
Made in Italy
Designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform
The Loungescape bed is defined by its sculptural, contemporary presence, seamlessly reinterpreting the spirit of the upholstered bed. The design is particularly recognizable in the raked base: the structure narrows toward the floor, creating a sense of lightness that softens the visual weight of the volumes. The modular headboard echoes the sculpted lines of the eponymous sofa, defining the identity of the system.
Antonio Citterio
For the Loungescape Bed, Antonio Citterio explores the balance between generous upholstered volume and visual lightness. The distinctive raked base narrows towards the floor, giving the bed an almost suspended presence, while the modular headboard echoes the sculptural language of the Loungescape sofa. One of Italy's most influential architects and designers, Citterio has worked with Flexform for more than four decades, creating some of the brand's most enduring designs. His work is defined by measured proportions, refined functionality and an enduring sense of restraint. Twice awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro, Citterio's influence extends across furniture, architecture and interiors, with a design philosophy that continues to shape the language of contemporary living.
