Dua Chair

Made in Italy

Designed by Läufer & Keichel for Kristalia

The Berlin-based studio Läufer & Keichel has created a chair and an armchair for Kristalia with soft, embracing lines. The name recalls the number two, which recurs throughout the design project starting with the two elliptical surfaces of the seat and backrest, which sensually revolves around the seat. Available with a slide-frame base or with four solid wood legs, the chair and armchair can be upholstered with the fabrics and leather in the catalogue, with the option of different upholstery for the seat and backrest to create contrasting or matching combinations.

Comes as a 4 leg chair or slide base. Available to have with curved arms.

Läufer & Keichel

Berlin-based Läufer & Keichel is the creative partnership of Julia Läufer and Marcus Keichel, who have worked together since founding their studio in 2003. Their complementary backgrounds bring an interesting perspective to furniture design. Läufer studied fashion and textile design in London and Berlin, including experience with Christian Dior in Paris, while Keichel studied industrial design, architecture and cultural studies at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Together, their work explores the relationship between people and objects, with a focus on thoughtful, enduring design. For Kristalia, Läufer & Keichel created the Dua Chair around two elliptical forms: a softly curved seat and an enveloping backrest. The result is a chair with a distinctive, embracing silhouette that brings together comfort and character with an understated sense of elegance.
