Antonio Citterio
With the Quincy Sofa, Antonio Citterio brings a softer expression to his precise approach to design. The continuous backrest forms an enveloping shell around generously cushioned seating, creating a balance between architectural structure and relaxed comfort. Its gently curved silhouette gives the sofa a distinctive presence while retaining the understated character of Flexform. Born in Meda, Italy in 1950, Antonio Citterio opened his design studio in 1972 and graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1975. His work spans architecture, interiors and industrial design, and he was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in both 1987 and 1994. Citterio's relationship with Flexform began in the 1970s and has continued uninterrupted for more than five decades. It is the longest-standing creative partnership in Flexform's history and has played a defining role in shaping the brand's understated approach to contemporary living.
